Who I am

Eric the Beer Geek
I'm Eric, a dyed in the wool beer geek. I don't use the word "geek" lightly, either. Have you ever seen those folks at Star Trek conventions and thought to yourself, "Man, what a geek!" Well, that's me. I'm the beer equivalent of a Trekkie. I smell beer, look at beer, taste beer, read about it, brew it, talk about it, study it, and I especially love hunting beer! I've had way more beers than is probably healthy but I've loved every minute of it, ever since my first "A Ha!" moment with a beer over four years ago. I'm a Certified Beer Server with the Cicerone Program who is studying to take the exam to become a Certified Cicerone. I also plan on taking the entrance exam to join the Beer Judge Certification Program. I want this blog to be the place to come to read reviews of good beer and hear what one impassioned geek has to say about an industry and a culture that's growing so fast it's sometimes hard to keep up with. So take a look around (beer in hand) and enjoy! Cheers!
